Been waiting for someone to post this thing. I just got mine a few days ago, and while it obviously isn't going to compare to a Jura or Saeco, this thing is f*cking awesome for only $250. I was also skeptical reading all the reviews, but you got to take into account people were paying $1-1.5k for this thing. Its understandable for people to be annoyed with some of the machines flaws for that price, but at $250 I think its pretty easy to look past/deal with them. I figured if anything goes bad with the machine, its covered by a 3 year manufacturer's warranty, AND 2 years of Geek Squad Protection, which I know from experience if theres too many problems with a product they'll just refund you and cut their losses.
If anyone has any questions about the machine, feel free to ask.
This should have more than 3 or 4 upvotes. Yes, the reviews are sketchy but this is a touchscreen superauto with auto frother for $250 from a known brand and 3-year warranty, from a reputable seller. Sorry but it doesn't get any cheaper than that and you can take it back or even turn around and sell it for breakeven (or profit?) if you're not into it once it sells out.
I jumped on it after selling a super old Jura a few months back.
Love people who purposely read nothing and make a judgement call based on how colorful 5 stars are 😜 Based on that a machine like this in general probably isn't for you.

I just picked it up based on your review and if it sucks no big deal I'll return it. What's the cleaning like?

So far so good. It depends what part of the machine you're going to use most, but even if you're only going to be making milk based drinks, its not that bad. After every milk-based drink you make, it will prompt you to do a clean cycle on the milk tube. You can either press return to continue on and keep making drinks, or run the clean cycle and move onto a different drink/turn the machine off. For the clean cycle you need 2 cups, one filled with water, and one for the machine to empty into. Takes ~10 seconds and you're good. Long term cleaning also seems like it wont be hard, since this thing opens up pretty nicely.
I will also say, if you're the type of person who doesn't like going into detail/tuning different products you buy, you might find this machine annoying. The manual alone is 82 pages, but thats the main appeal to me. I love how customizable everything is. For example, theres 4 user profiles with the capability of everyone having their own brew style depending on what drink you pick (strength, milk and foam ratios, volume, ect). I can go on and on... 😁

Do you have to clean the brewing unit every day as stated in the manual?

Wow, I definitely misread the first sentence on page 62. I thought it said to clean the brew unit if you're not using it everyday or if you're going away. So I haven't cleaned that yet, but I'm definitely curious now. I'll pop it open and see what it looks like right now. (Haven't had any issues with it yet though)
Kinda random but I see 415 in your name, you from the Bay too?
I saw this a few days ago and was very tempted but the reviews…yikes. If someone is looking for something a little less automatic Gaggia Pro refurbs are going for $320 at Whole Latte Love

2 years of Geek Squad Protection cost $39.99 extra. Does the Geek Squad Protection kick in after 3 years of MFG warranty?
I just checked it out, and theres not much coffee/residue build up. I doubt you actually have to clean this part everyday. I've been using this thing for 4 days now, and I've been brewing a bunch of different drinks to test it out. If you want to be safe, maybe clean it every week? Heres some pics of it before and after washing it off: https://imgur.com/a/2MyGnvU[imgur.com]

For people who aren't going to read it and end up asking the same questions: If your small appliance fails for an issue that we cover but your manufacturer doesn't, we'll replace your product (if one is available) or reimburse you.

Some reviewers mentioned the milk and coffee temperatures being too low. What has your experience been like with temperatures?
