They aren't the same anymore, not a good buy
These are slightly larger than regular AA. I haven't actually measured, but I think part of the size difference is the thick wrapping showing the brand on the battery. This sometimes prevents the battery from making good contact on the terminals. I've had to hit them and press them in hard to overcome these issues. I have a toddler with a lot of toys so we keep rechargeable batteries around. I typically buy eneloops and thought I'd give these a try and not worry if they get lost or disappear. These are typically around $1 per battery while I pay full price for eneloops or around $2 per battery on sale.

I was wondering why my remotes battery cover wouldn't go back on properly. Makes sense.

20% extra discount when you buy 4. $37.56 after 5% S&S for 48 rechargeable batteries (i.e. 78 cents ea) is a decent deal imo.

Have a bunch of these and they aren't great. As other noted, they are larger and you often need to press them in to get contact with the terminals, and then pry them out. I used them for LED candles so they serve their purpose as they're cheap, but keep your expectations low when buying these.

Anyone have a recommendation for rechargeable AA batteries that work in an eneloop charger since the concensus is these aren't great(and unfortunately I bought some like 2 months ago(but haven't used them to know if they are good or bad)).

How are amazon basic non rechargeable AA? Are those worth buying for someone who doesn't use a lot of AA but would like to keep some on stock?

Amazon basics batteries are garbage. This is one purchase where I'd spring for the name brand.

They die pretty fast. I have Fujitsu, Eneloop, IKEA, and Amazon Basics. 4x more Amazon basics batteries have died in 2 years of use compared to Fujitsu (7 years of use) in my small sample size. None of the Eneloops and IKEA ones have died.
