I don't know how we survived before refrigerators had wifi.
Reliability mostly. Plastic piece broke in the ice maker. Plastic parts also breaking in the dishwasher. Microwave design sparks electricity if certain parts are dirty, say from butter splatter when melting. Suboptimal space design on fridge. Feels more like a Kenmore than a Bosch tool
Bosch 300 series dishwashers don't have a drying element or heater. Have you tried using a rinse aid and opening the door when it's done? I have the 500 series which does the same but will pop open the door when it's done. Everything dries pretty well except the bottom of bowls with a little scoop that holds water

"Model SHEM63W55N is designed to dry using the PureDry™condensation drying system. This is an energy-efficient, closed drying system that does not pull in outside air or use an exposed heating element. This process works by heating the dishes with hot water during the final rinse. The cooler stainless steel pulls moisture from the dishes. The inside of the unit will be wet at the end of the cycle, but the dishes should be dry. It's important to note that plastics don't retain heat as well as other dishware materials and don't dry as well. They must have just started selling Bosch a few weeks ago. Could have sworn I looked at Costco when that 800 model went on sale for $2500 at Lowes.

Not impressed with the Bosch fridge, dishwasher, and microwave my 2015 built house came with. Maybe it's better now but I wouldn't buy them out of my own volition (house came with it)
Can you elaborate more on this? Are you nonplussed by the designs, or the reliability? Something else?

just purchase my first bosch, 300's dishwasher last month. It doesn't work properly- the inside wall/door are wet after drying on "super dry", and dishes are barely dry on the first rack, half wet on lower rack.

I got bosch because of its reputation. I might just have been unlucky with a defective unit, I'm about to contact bosch warranty, will find out about its customer service lol

Edit to add meanwhile my friend got their first bosch last year, a refrigerator, and have been very happy with it

Tempting. But hoping for another sale on the 800. It's got a double compressor versus the single on the 500

Thanks for the response. Ya, I think Bosch dishwashers have a reputation for drying poorly, but being the best at cleaning. Echo other poster above on the 500 series: it pops ajar on its own at end of cycle, solving the inadequate drying complaints I had with my entry level model. Still agree it's a little strange they are unable to address the drying issue better across their product line.

Problem with 800 series is the height - my kitchen is a standard height kitchen bit the slot would not allow 72 in height of 800 series. Any houses more than 10 yrs old is going to have this issue .

I've used many brands of dishwashers over the years, from Amana to Maytag to kitchen Aid. Nothing beats my Bosch I self-installed at my previous home.

I have a newer kitchen aid, and hate it, compared to Bosch. But it came with the house, so I'm in no rush to spend more money than I need to.
