Not eligible, damn. Would've been nice to get a perk for ye olde Blue Cash Preferred here, but can't complain when I was eligible for the 40%/$60 max with 1 MR point!

I have the Blue cash preferred, and it worked for me. I had to remove my Prime Visa from my payment methods, and it only worked when I bought something sold by Amazon, not a third party seller.

It depends on what kind of rewards you want. For example:

cash back (as statement credit),
Reward points,
Air miles, etc.

BTW, there are also AMEX "offers" that you "add" to your account to get other bonus/discounts.

Finally, if you have family or friends with AMEX cards, ask them to send you a referral link to maximize the bonuses.

Appreciate the response. I mainly will use it to qualify for these type of promotions as I have other cc. I'm leaning toward cash back but if reward points offers a better return then I'll go with that. That's one thing I like about Discover CC is that they allow me to get more if I was to redeem my rewards in a form a gift cards instead of cashback.
