I do, also owned one in 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, and 2017... and the same for my wife... basically since Apple lied to me and told me they warranty replaced my iPhone 6S with a "New" replacement, flat out stating that they don't use refurb units for warranty replacements. This "new:" unit went completely belly up on me two months later, and of course, out of warranty and told me I was SOL. I took it to a repair place and they stated, unequivocally, that the phone was not new, but was indeed a used unit. So yeah, I haven't owned a piece of Apple garbage since, and I never will. I had been an iPhone fanboy up until that point and had admittedly had issues with several of my iPhones. Now that I've owned Samsungs since then, I haven't had a single problem with any of them, nor has my wife. I won't be caught dead with an iSh*t phone ever again.
Well, I have never been in a situation where I wouldn't get hoez based on my cell phone choice. Maybe you need to step up your personal game if getting laid is based on your choice of phone.
What other choice is there? Apple, LOL? I made the mistake once of getting Crapple over Android and regretted it soon after.
Even if Apple was reasonably priced, it still is an inferior phone compared to Android.

Can I buy it with "activation today" now and activate later? If yes, how many days I can wait?
I ordered for local store pickup and received it today. I told them I didn't wait to activate the new SIM (included) as I hadn't backed up my existing phone yet. Best Buy rep said "cool". There's no time limit and no need to actually even use the included SIM. I'll just move mine existing SIM over when I'm ready.

Oddly though, the phone was charged to 0% upon receipt; usually I recall brand new phones being at about 50% or so.

I've seen people say this and also claim the S23U is so much better on battery life. Even though I'm sure the latter is better, I fail to see how the S22U is terrible. I've consistently gotten a minimum of 6, more average of 7-9 hrs of SOT easily lasting well over a day with relatively heavy use with lots of gps use, streaming of different sorts, some gaming, etc. I think the biggest problem with these 5G phones is the drain when you live in areas with relatively poor reception. This phone still flies as well.

For about the last 15 or so years I've upgraded every year. This is the first time since then I ve held onto a device since launch and haven't felt the need to upgrade. Only problem iI have is that my kid killed my charging port :/
Snapdragon 8 gen 1 wasn't great

And yet I've seen no discernible difference between using a S22U and S23U in moving around the OS, apps etc. using a friend's. In fact, based on everything Ive seen read the only notable improvements between the two phones appear to be better speakers, less heat, and better battery battery life with the screen, camera, speed etc being a wash or not noticeable at all in day to day use.

Most interesting to me is that it seems in a lot of reviews that except for maybe video, the S22U rates as well or higher in the camera dept with many -including myself- giving the edge to the S22U for stills. Reading user reviews from S23U it also sounds like even with the latest update that hasn't really gotten any better.

As I and others have said before, I'm sure the S23U is a fine device but not at base 256gb with less RAM, and also not for the 400+ after trade-in of a S22U for the 512 model

I've been on a OnePlus 8 for three years and had a Note 8 before. I miss using a flagship and the stylus 😁 It is VERY difficult to get a deal on tmo and while this definitely has some compromises (storage, battery) it is by far the best I've seen. I missed out twice on the fold 3. Once for $800 and another shortly lived for $600. After some consideration I want a traditional phone but a flagship again. Great deal since it's tmo.

I picked up the phone today. Got it unlocked immediately without any questions from the T-Mobile rep(called 611 customer service). Simple choice plan. Upgrade line. Fully Paid $499 plus tax.

For $50 more, get a 12GBRAM/256GB model.
Edit: Never mind, it's 8GBRAM.

How did you get it unlocked? Did you call T-Mobile? Also, did you install the SIM card first? I'm currently on T-Mobile, but planning on getting the phone for my Dad, whose on a different network.

Don't buy this phone, battery life is about the same as Note 10+

Get the S23 Ultra instead if you can wait
Agree. My S22 Ultra needs to be charge around 3. Upgraded to S23U and now still about 30% left at 10PM

Good price but battery is pure trash.
100% this. Been using Sasung as my first smartphone in the early days. This phone made me switch to iPhone for half a year until reviews confirmed the S23 ultra battery life was substantially better.
Battery life is terribly important to me and this was such a disappointment. S23 ultra is fantastic though. All day battery and I don't even feel like I need to put on battery saving features.

This or the s23 Ultra for Prime Day for 3-400 more? I'm coming from a shitty mid-range phone that I have hated using for the past 3 years so anything will be an upgrade

I don't think the battery life on the s22 ultra is bad compared to the pixel 6 and pixel 7. Even untouched it drains with a day. But if you have a bad phone now and you're on your phone for hours a day maybe the s23 is better so you don't charge as much.
