I think the HP monitor may be 1080. The info below the price on Amazon shows 1080, and I think this is the monitor on the HP site for $199 at 1080:

Have this monitor and a 32" acer Nitro. I tried like 4 different monitors ranging from Asus,LG, and dell(another LG) Nothing compare to these monitors for the price. The black(dark) colors are fantastic and you cant beat the price. The only thing that could be improved on is the QC(backlight bleed you can only see on a completely black screen). I have 0 bleed on my 32 but this monitor had some. But to me its a small price to pay for a great(cheap) monitor. I bought this last year on prime day Big Grin You wont be disappointed.

I think that is the wrong link - the HP is QHD https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c08513872

I went with the HP, but am a bit nervious doing so as there are next to no reviews, but specs look good and previous models were reviewed well. I'll post an update tomorrow when it comes if I have any immediate findings.

I think it's the 1440 because the Q evidently stands for quad hd

https://www.theverge.com/2023/3/2...-ultrawide

Five of the new HP Omen monitors offer 27-inch displays, and the features can be determined at a glance by referencing the letter at the end of each monitor's name. For example, the "q" in HP Omen 27q is short for "QHD" (Quad High Definition), which means it has a 1440p resolution. The "s" in Omen 27s likely represents "speed," as these models support a faster refresh rate of 240Hz. The Omen 27qs features both a 1440p resolution and a 240hz refresh rate. Three larger displays — the Omen 32q, Omen 32c, and the Omen 34c — follow the same principle, with "c" representing a curved display.

Thank you both for the correction and additional information. My son is looking to get this and a new Xbox series X, and I managed to hold him off a little bit in search of some deals Smilie We'll probably go with the HP.

I bought one, went out of stock but back up now. Best bang for buck IMO, been looking for a 1440p and high refresh rate monitor. Someone led me to microcenter but this is an even better deal

I received this a few days ago. Some posts online suggests that you need newer firmware to get the maximum brightness, and that there is no way to update the firmware as this monitor lacks a USB port. So it's luck of the draw.

You're supposed to be able to tell if you have the updated firmware if you see a "Max Brightness" option in the OSD.

It says mine was manufactored in April 2023, but I don't see the "Max Brightness" option on the OSD.

Anyone else out there check?
