Currently $17.20 on Amazon, and according to CCC lowest price on Amazon was $13.19.

Some users have reported that these are rebranded Sanyo's which makes this an excellent deal. /speculation

Stick with Panasonic, these have reduced life and capacity goes down very quickly. I had purchased a large quantity and am having to throw them away slowly. These truly suck big time

Either cancel or return. They are not even worth a nickel.

These batteries are great, for around $1 a piece can't go wrong.

Until they cannot hold charge after few charges and you have to charge after any minor use. This is why I had to throw them away.

Highly unlikely these are currently rebranded Sanyos. They may have been in the past, but recent quality reports say QA has diminished.

That being said, for use cases like mine (kids devices where these are regularly abused & lost), $1 per battery is worth buying. In for 1.

I heard a lot about white top amazon batteries used to be Japan made eneloops.
But the white ones I bought years ago had similar failure rates as the black ones. Either Amazon batteries are not eneloops or there are actually no difference in terms of the colors or where they made.

I bought a bunch of rechargeable batteries on Amazon on prime day and needed more AAs so I got these. I was happy to see that they were made in Malaysia instead of China which all the other ones I bought were. I read that review about these being rebranded Sanyos but that review was dated 2015 I think which isn't relevant now. Still though these are the same price as 12 of the basic Amazon 2000 mah AAs were on prime day and these are high capacity which are usually more.

I decided long ago I would rather have 40 of these (at this price point) instead of 12 eneloops for the same price. Its worked out really, really well.

I got 14 eneloops (10 AA and 4 AAA) for $35 with a charger, and just bought 24 of those Amazon AAs a couple weeks ago for $.70 each to use on kids toys and RC controllers that take 8 AAs.

Point is, I'd rather have a bunch of both!

Sounds good to me.

10 yrs ago I bought a similar kit from Costco that also came with the C and D size sleeves. I currently only have 2 of them left because the rest got lost. I'd rather have a lot of extras on hand than having to keep close track of a few. The extra capacity or longevity was kind of a waste for me, because I would swap them out whether they were almost drained or not.

Now I'm switching over to the rechargeable lithium AA's for the higher voltage.

I think many years ago they were actually Eneloops. I remember seeing an article where someone tested them and tore them apart and they were Eneloops. I agree with that because way back then, the Amazon rechargeables were really good. Now they really are kind of bad. They don't hold a charge for nearly as long as an eneloop would. I think for kid toy applications these are ok, risking to be abused or lost. But if you want a rechargeable battery in something like a weather station or remote control or camera flash where you hope it lasts a good while, I would still stick with something else.

i have these batteries and my experience has not been the same as yours. they arent as good as eneloops, but ive had about 30 of these batteries in aa and aa and im yet to throw any away after about 2 years of nearly constant use.

im not discounting your experience, but mine has certainly differed.

i use mine in around the house stuff that aren't inconvenient to swap out batteries in. i still save my eneloops, etc for things that i want to get decent battery life out of.
