Have it and love it.

Perfect monitor for the used to be hardcore gamer but now a dad who uses his 3080 to play Microsoft Teams and pay bills.

You work hard and deserve a monitor that will allow you to fully enjoy the campaign play through of that new game with your discord buddies before they leave you in the dust for end game.

Your end game is your out of control unmowed lawn and wife aggro as you check back into reality. Maybe you should buy her the new Roborock S1000v+ Ultra Pro with cameras and laser beams.
Just got this a month ago.... This monitor is epic! Best aspect ratio for an ultra wide at 24:10. Has the ability to do 120hz at 10 bit color or 144hz at 8 bit. The build quality is second to none....premium monitor! Just make sure you have the horsepower in your GPU to drive it for games...bc it's roughly a 4k monitor if you round it up a bit....Also, you won't have to worry about Burn In.....think it's not a concern? just go checkout the ultrawides subreddits and it's flooded with burn in problems from G9 odysseys lol.

I mainly use it for productivity (Lightroom, PS, Premiere)... great for web browsing since it's taller than your avg ultrawides...great for Office Applications... and some light gaming....Diablo 4 rocks on it, and some CS GO here and there...driving it with a Radeon 7900 XTX though.
Been using this for close to 3 years now. If you need a large monitor for work (70%)and decent gaming(30%), this is it.

Twice ordered then cancelled. Rtings.com review scared me off. Coming from a Dell 34UW. May just have to give the LG C3 Oled 42 a whirl.
Really what part? It had good reviews from what I could tell. Also I take everything from that website with a grain of salt. People use them as a one and done review site but it's far from it. Like rotten tomatoes I can't tell you how many times critics and even sometimes audiences disliked a movie and I ended up liking it.

I didn't see anything from their review that would scare me away from it though… buy it from Amazon if you're worried. If you don't like it return in. 🤷🏻 ♂️

I would jump on this immediately if the monitor supported PBP, PIP, or DSC....

Unfortunately, you have to sacrifice functionality simply because there's an Nvidia chip inside that doesn't support these features. Otherwise, this would be the ultimate hybrid monitor for gaming and productivity. (Holding off on any OLED monitors until I see some further testing at Rtings)
My G-sync, PBP and PIP supporting Samsung G9 looks puzzled at your comment.

This monitor might not have it, but it ain't the g-sync chip's doing.

I have one of these as well as a couple older 34" alienwares and love them. Am considering a 42" oled, but was concerned about text quality as one user mentioned on the qled, any one using a lg 42" oled as a monitor that can comment?

Thanks

Srsly I think 34 is big enough for computer monitor
I have a 34 Ultrawide and I would like more height. IIRC, it's equal to a 27".

I had the lg c2 42" and returned it. text was really bad imo even with some of the changes the google machine told me to try.

text on this 38 is great. i'm really happy with it. my only gripe would be the included stand is massive and the monitor sticks out really far from the back of the stand. i put it on another stand to get it further from my face

Finally received the monitor last night… it's huge but looks and works great. Planning on mounting it to the wall to save some desk space but it looks 🔥🔥
