There's a picture of the pan peeling? How is that possible? It's stainless steel without a layer of non-stick coating, I thought.

This is usually double the price. Even the smaller one cost much more. Thanks OP, in for one.

And I did see the coating pic, I'll take my chances. That pan didn't look SS

Good catch, but that image was from 2017 and was likely a review for the nonstick version on the same page

I couldn't find the thickness of the aluminum so it's hard to say if this is a good pan, but given the weight (about 5 lbs) I would conjecture and say it's probably a good pan.

These marketing info is horrible. The pic suggest bonded base but the illustrated video show no base suggesting it is try ply throughout.

If it is bonded base then the pan is not thick at all and the images do suggest it is very thin.

On the very first line in the description:
DURABLE & EVEN-HEATING: Versatile fry pan features tri-ply aluminum and stainless steel clad construction and an impact-bonded, stainless steel induction cookware base.

This is not fully clad. It's just a 3 ply base. Also zooming into the pics you can see the base is a separate piece from the edges

The best expensive one that's not copper (more maintenance) is the all-clad D3 stainless steel skillet. Carbon steel is what most commercial kitchens use in their restaurants and that's trending over cast iron because that's heavy as heck. The trick to all three varieties of skillets is proper heat control as in not to low but not too hot.

Read what others have said, but it's not a bad pan. At all. May even be a good entry point into SS pans.

I picked one up so my gf doesn't feel bad if she burns or stains my more expensive all-clads. You don't want to go buy once cry once on a SS pan and stain it badly. Barkeepers friend helps, but won't fix it

Before buying, notice the hollow ring going around the bottom of the pan.
What that most likely mean, the heavy aluminum metals are probably only mostly present at the bottom of the pan, but not around the sides of the pan, food will get hot at the bottom but not above the surface of the pan's floor.
or in shorter words, there may only be aluminum at the bottom of the pan and not inside the whole pan.

This is a third party seller, I don't trust it. Amazon is selling it for $80.
