Some good prices. Of note: the Ludere is not itself smart. It has 2 hue bulbs in it. Otherwise it's just a fixture so you can put whatever bulbs you want in it. $45 for 2 Hue outdoor PAR38 bulbs and a free fixture, basically.
Good deal on the main Ludere light listed. I did a little research as I am looking for a floodlight. Make sure you cross-reference the actual Amazon prices because the Hue Discover is $140 refurbished on Woot or $120 new on Amazon.
1980 style technology with 2023 USA price 🤣🤣🤣

Oh, the Ludere Outdoor Security Light doesn't have a motion sensor, right?
No. No motion sensor. You could use a Hue motion sensor to control it (or other accessories like the dimmers, etc.).

I recently bought two Philips exterior light fixtures (Lucca) for the front porch, but I will never buy their exterior fixtures again. Not that they're horrible, but unless you find a deal where you're only paying for the bulbs (like here), the fixtures are NOT worth much money. The included mounting hardware had no flexibility for positioning -- it was their way or no way, which was problematic with my older electrical box (mounted in brick, so it's fixed!). The configuration of the light was weird, too, with the ground wire strangely located which made installation tricky with only two hands.

Anyway, love their light bulbs, not thrilled with the fixtures I bought. Results may vary!

Just a separate note because this issue cropped up before -- the Ludere fixture comes with WHITE bulbs, despite the description mentioning "16 million colors" on Woot. They did this last time, and it's a little deceptive. The PAR38 bulbs included are not color capable, but you can obviously buy color bulbs and swap them in to achieve the "16 million colors". Ok, thanks Woot.

From the description on the site: "2 x 1300 lumen hue white Par38 bulbs included"

The Hue PAR38 color bulbs are $149 for two or $80 apiece. The PAR38 white bulbs are $54 for two (on Philips site).

Similarly, the 4-pack of the BR30 white bulbs are $50 on Amazon new (make sure to cross-reference the White, not White Ambience, version), vs $29 for reconditioned 2-pack here. If you only need two bulbs, this is a better deal, but if you need 3 or more, get them on Amazon.

Hue bulbs are high quality, we haven't had any fail ever really, but we hardly use the smart or color features anymore - in fact I only realized a few months ago that our v1 bridge wasn't working, Philips deprecated them three years ago LOL.... the only thing still going automatically is our bedroom lights dim to zero automatically at 10 pm every night for bedtime (and of course easy enough to flick them back on manually to override). Have some unopened Hue kits that have a v2 bridge, I guess I should migrate over.

I have some very early hue lights, that I bought through a person that worked for them for a great price. They have performed very well over the years and are the most trouble free smart home devices I've had experience with. I have one bulb that flickers when warm. They are expensive! Too expensive even for as good as they are. $32 each for a refurbished standard base color bulb. More than double most brands including the excellent tp-link Kasa. Admittedly I'm thrifty but I appreciate quality. I just won't willingly bend over to get it. A big issue to me was the forced upgrade to the 2nd edition hub. Forced by our friends at Apple to work with their home kit. I had to buy a hub just to continue use of my lights. No option to continue without apple compatibility just pony up. Discounts were offered in limited numbers, seems like if you had an old hub you should get a new one for free or at the least at the best deal. So phillips charges ridiculously high prices and thinks it's okay to screw their customers on unnecessary hardware upgrades. If I could go back and invest in a different system I would.
Sir, this is a Wendy's.

Any reason not to buy the Hue Play HDMI for $160?
Yes, it is $160...still expensive for what it is.

I received 2 Ludere kits that looked new. The hub with 2 lights had a refurbished sticker sealing the box but I think it might be new as well.
