Also saw them in Houston. Talked to CS and they refused to price adjustment because my order was in May. I mentioned grabbing one and returning but they just told me to do that.

From what I understand, returned AC will go to the junk yard so I did not want to do that. Costco should be more flexible to let the customer save $50 instead of wasting the whole unit at $280.

I think you can track the price yourself. If the in-store is on sale, the online price on costco.com will be $419.99, otherwise $499.99.

This is a very quiet air conditioner, it is as quiet as a split air conditioner.

Thanks. Got one, condenser fan makes rubbing noise at low speeds but goes away as it revs up. Its installed without screws because the mounting frame perfectly jammed between window frame! Lol
Only gaps are at rotating arms that grab foam and unit itself. Not sure what's the purpose of the rotating arms.

Clarification - GE unit is equally quieter inside. The condensation pump is outside and it's louder only outside.

You want to save gas, you call the local warehouse or call corporate/use their chat support at costco.com. That's the only way to know the price locally. And even if you go there, even if it still says $399.99, until you scan it, you don't know for sure if they just haven't updated the sign yet for the clearance price.

Online full price is $419.99, has been all year (for me), in store was $399.99. When it was on sale $80 off, those were $339.99 and $319.99 respectively.

Now, it's $419.99 online still (full price), but I snagged one on Monday for $279.97. A friendly chat agent confirmed the clearance price for me and qty on hand, so I knew it wasn't a wasted trip.

Is there a way to check if my store has it at this price? My sister has a membership and I do not; I have been considering getting one though and would for this (and other future purchases of course). I tried to look online and it doesn't show inventory for my store; also I do not think I can go and look for myself without a membership :/
