Been looking for a helmut with broader back of the head coverage and MIPS. This looks like it fits the bill nicely. Unfortunate that other colors are not on sale but the one pictured looks non-offensive. Thanks OP!

I have one and bought it because it is rated #1 for MTB helmets. But visor is absolutely useless as it's too high to block any sun.

The visor/branch deflector is high for two reasons, to ensure it's not in your field of view and to allow you to store your goggles/glasses under the visor when you're riding back up the hill or on the chairlift. If you do enduro or downhill, you'll appreciate this design - others clearly do not, so Specialized makes a wide variety of helmets to fit just about any type of riding imaginable.

Edit: The Ambush Comp [specialized.com] is on sale for $75, has similar coverage, MIPS, and a "regular" style visor.

One of the highest rated bike helmets for mountain biking. Picked one up on sale for $80 and love it. Great price on this.

The specialized is very breathable for SoFl heat. It's also very highly rated by VT helmet studies.
