Great deal but in store only. Wish they had one by me.
I feel like I am always going to be sad about the microcenter deals. Don't have one near me. My bank account though is happy.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with Realtek, other than their lack of penetration into the 10Gbe space.

For anyone considering this, don't let this dissuade you. You can always add PCIe cards. Heck, it used to be that you had to buy cards for everything.

Yes. Per You Tube reviews. The 13700K is actually an all around better performer for most gaming workloads than the 12900K. But it does depend on your use case of course. But many share go 13700K over the 12900K.
Can't always trust YouTube reviews, as they never benchmark professional software and only focus on games or synthetic benchmarks.

After how much they freaked out about the non-issue with the 4070, I wouldn't even take them with a grain of salt anymore.

Fantastic deal, but as the poster above...dont care for Gigabyte. Become known for quality issues and cutting corners and sketch warranty support. Jus google "Gigabyte gpu pcb crack"...scary stuff.

MC will probably bundle an MSI or Asus board at some pt, better alts.
Gigabyte's RMA department is the WORST in the industry. Their RMA manager named Chuck is a tool and won't replace your bad hardware. You'd be lucky if you get your hardware back.

So sad. Everytime. I live in the bay area. We used to have a MC store. But they have closed it for more than 8 years now. I wish they would come back to the bay area
Why am I so lucky to have not one, but two MC in the Metro Atlanta area.

Who is the better motherboard company? I always use ASRock.

770X>12900k

10700 should still be viable for today's game.

Depends on your use case. For basic workstation it's fine. But for homelab/server use, it's crap. High cpu resource use under heavy load.

What sucks even more is part of the reason for that was the strong presence of Fry's in the bay area but they later closed up shop too. Is MC's old Santa Clara spot empty? With all the empty retail space now it wouldn't surprise me, what a waste.

Too bad AMD killed fry's with their Intel bundle lawsuit, there would be a Fry's for every man woman and child in the USA
These Microcenter instore only cpu/mobo/ram deals remind me of those Fry's cpu mobo deals, wonder if they're up to the same thing?

I had a similar experience a couple years back with Gigabyte. Sent in a DOA motherboard, got rejected because CPU socket pins were bent (cuz their tech bent it). Never bought Gigabyte products again and have lived happily ever since.

They're taking an old bed bath and beyond location in Santa Clara.

My last personal computer build was from the one in Sunnyvale area, then they left. It was hard to compete with Fry's until the VP was coercing vendors for deals and going to Las Vegas for fun trips on the kick-backs. Once that was found out... deals and bundles stopped at Fry's. So now there is no Fry's or MicroCenter. I am looking for a new system but hard to find parts, so one recommended that I purchase rather then build a computer.

Where's the setting to filter out microcenter in-store only deals?

Seems like one of the easier disappointments to avoid.
