If this thing ever gets down to the $500 range, I'm so in. I just can't justify spending this much on a computer monitor right now.

Same boat here. If I were to spend that much it would have to be 800 or below for the g9 like that previous deal.

I bought a new g9 neo at microcenter for $999, so I wouldn't take a g9 at $800 even I think.

I personally don't see the point in paying this much for a monitor that's not even 4k...

I bought this when it was on sale last month. The picture is amazing but I didn't realize the height is shorter than a 32 inch monitor, So fyi, I finally got used to it, but its basically like they took 2 inches off the top and just moved them to the sides.

What does this even mean? Are you saying you didnt realize that its an ultrawide monitor? Stating that it is "shorter" in height is a strange way of describing an ultrawide, since its more so its normal height but extra screen space to the sides (thus the resolution).

Basically a 34 inch Ultra wide is as tall as a 27 inch monitor, the height of the screen is not as large as a single 32 inch monitor. So if your used to how large a 32 inch monitor is, this one is actually smaller height wise but wider across.

You don't understand that it's an ultrawide monitor. When you have two windows open it's like having two monitors in one. I've had ultrawide since the first Samsung came out around 2013 and I could never go back. This monitor is also Gsync compatible for us gamers.

I added 80 different offers to the AmEx before one was finally replaced by the $120 back when you spend $599 at Dell, so I'm in for one at $780 + tax.

Seems like the normal price now, and it seems QD OLED is weak against burn in. I do want to try this panel out sometime though
