I bought this last time and around and strongly recommend not purchasing it. It is not a good 3-d printer. I exchanged my first one thinking it was just a problem with that one but no the second one is only slightly better. The main issue is the nozzle is not reaching the temperature you set in the slicer. So with the 265 nozzle you should be able to print Pet-G no problem but even cranked up to 260 (highest temperature you can set it at with a raft) I get layer separation. I have turned down the fans, used different filament, no matter what I can't get a good print. For reference I have a Creality CR-10 and which can only do 240 degrees but can print the same PET-G no problem.
Another issue is the slicer. You can't used third party slicers at all. Also unlike the MP Voxel there is no way to update this thing to the Adventurer 4 firmware.
I have been debating if I cut my losses and sell locally or if I put in another $160 to try to fix it by buying a new motherboard from flashforge to full convert it to an Adventurer 4.
I just added this to my cart and it's showing $229.99 right now. Not sure how long that might last but that makes this a great buy! Thanks TattyBear and HappyAccident!

Wow you are right it is now advertising $229 w/free shipping. This should be frontpage.
Would this be considered something in between the ender 3 and bambu p1p? When my ender 3 works, I'll use it a few times a week to print useful little things that take 1-3 hours to print. However, when it needs maintenance, I end up letting it sit for months because I don't have the desire to go through the trial and error to get it working again. Can this printer print faster than an ender 3 and does it need less messing around with? I've been considering the p1p, but I don't think that I'm that into large detailed prints enough for it to be worth it
My toddler is very into remote control cars but most are all cheap plastic crap. I bought this in hopes it will be enough for us to be able to print and assemble this car together and have easy replaceable parts for whenever he breaks it: https://www.reddit.com/r/Engineer...llk/tarmo5.
Would this be a good starter printer or should i just buy bambu p1p?
I mean, that's a pretty big price gap. If the cost of the P1P isn't a big deal to you, it's clearly the better printer, but if you have more spare time than money, this will produce mostly similar prints for much less. The new Ankermake M5C is another viable budget (~$400) option for a beginner, with some tradeoffs vs. the MP (full 49-point autoleveling, all-metal 300C hotend, significantly faster printing, and slightly larger build area, but no enclosure, camera, or touchscreen).
