There are fine if you have chicken legs. These are the 69% cotton version and fit skin tight on my calves. Costco usually sells Izod 99% cotton jeans and they are a bit looser in the calf.

Each piece of clothing is pro-rated. You will most likely not loose the $20.

Unless they recently changed their policy, then yes you can. I did this last year and the discount is pro-rated for return calculation purposes.

Edit: I did the return in-store.

Have to admit I really like these jeans, even over Lucky and Levi's. Just feel and fit better, these are straight fit so they are not slim towards the bottom but not large either.

Got these the last sale. They are extremely comfy and the stretch is great. I now prefer them over my levi's in terms of comfort and looks. Fits great with athletic build.

Real Simple - you don't need to wash your jeans often [realsimple.com]

If you're working in landscaping or forestry, then sure, wash your jeans. If you sit in an office all day like I do, then you can probably wash your jeans once or twice a year. I only wash mine when I spill something on them. There's no reason to run them through a dryer, they'll dry on a hanger.
