Patty ingredients:
Water, Soy Protein Concentrate, Coconut Oil, Sunflower Oil, Natural Flavors, 2% Or Less Of: Potato Protein, Methylcellulose, Yeast Extract, Cultured Dextrose, Food Starch Modified, Soy Leghemoglobin, Salt, Mixed Tocopherols (Antioxidant), Soy Protein Isolate, Vitamins and Minerals (Zinc Gluconate, Thiamine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B1), Niacin, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Vitamin B12).
I may as well add my two cents. Impossible burgers are tasty. Not quite as good as a regular whopper, but pretty close.

SOYLENT GREEN IS PEOPLE!
can only add another impossible patty, no other options in that regard.

You could add bacon, remove the impossible patty yourself and have a $1 BLT

She said that would be okay. She is against the poor ethical treatment of animals. She loves meat. Why so curious? Just being the Devil's advocate?laugh out loud

remove the impossible patty yourself
then see if it's possible to stick the impossible patty to the ceiling.

Thus a new TikTok fad has been created.

Dumb banter aside, just a year ago this was $3 as a normal deal on their app. Unsure if it's still $3, but I'm assuming it is not the case if a promo code is now needed.

Did you expect beef? Making not-beef taste this good is gonna take some special stuff. This is an amazing replica for those who miss regular Whoppers. But be aware, they don't automatically cook this as truly vegetarian (as far using the same surface as the beef to grill on).
The best news is that no animals were killed to make this patty.
I'm working as a consultant with a company right now developing synthetic meat made in a factory with no animals from clonal cells, will be interesting to see how many vegetarians or even vegans go for it and I think the company is banking on that.

When I listed the myriad of debatably unhealthy ingredients in this "patty", you asked if I expected to find "beef", and lauded the fact no animals were "killed" to make it. Was just curious if it was the dead animal itself or the method in which they met their demise that influenced your decision.
I did not understand your point of the post on whether it was only for data purposes or to scare people away, but not-meat is very complicated to make it taste like meat.

My no animals comment was the short version.
I try to never say "never" or "always".

Interesting takes, as you seem like me- Very detail-oriented. I despise the A-word. It is derogatory for something I take pride in. I enjoy overthinking things.
I would not ordinarily state it as "No animals were born and bred only to be mistreated and killed for our consumption." People against the unethical treatment of animals typically understand that it is implied. Peace

The field is very interesting to me. The cost is prohibitive according to a documentary I watched recently. Someday though...It will be affordable and a good alternative. The volunteers said it was meh, if I recall correctly. Take my vote for a steak made by the Matrix. That one looked marvelous and it's all ones and zeros. laugh out loud

If they pay me 3$ I will consider eating an impossible burger whopper, but no promises
You likely could not tell the difference and may prefer it (we do) if at the same price point as a Whopper. The char-broiled flavor is more pronounced.

And here are the bun ingredients (beef version or impossible version):
Enriched wheat flour, water, sugar/glucose-fructose, yeast, sesame seeds, vegetable oil (canola or soybean), salt, monoglycerides, sodium stearoyl-2-lactylate, calcium propionate, calcium sulfate.

Not quite sure what the point of listing the ingredients is. It's fast food. Yes, it's going to be processed food just like everything else they sell. I'm not a food scientist so I'm not sure what "myriad of debatably unhealthy ingredients" you were referring to or if that's just generic chemophobia; if there's a particular ingredient in the list that you think is concerning (and supported by empirical evidence), that would be helpful.
