It's definitely worth the read. Here's just a snippet from the start:

"This 2160p, HEVC/H.265-encoded UHD of The Matrix is based on a new 4K scan of the original camera negative created by Warner's Motion Picture Imaging facility. Color correction and HDR grading were performed by MPI's senior colorist, Jan Yarbrough, and overseen by Bill Pope, director of photography on all three Matrix films. Warner Brothers has provided the following statement from Mr. Yarbrough, which is reproduced with the studio's kind permission:"

The audio also got remixed for Atmos content. It's not just a phoned in 4k conversion of the 1080 source.

our library system is poor. their blu ray selection is just a small handful. like 20-50 max. compared to thousand of dvds that they have in hand. most of them are old. and none of them are UHD. if your lucky enough, you can find a couple uhd titles but most of them are for some very old titles that nobody really wanted to watch.


people buy this set for the 4k ultra hd that got remastered with a much better quality than those from previous blu ray discs.

The newer (re-issue) sets do not come with digital. Even if you did get an older set with digital, it wouldn't matter as the expired codes are rendered useless by WB.
