I thought this might appeal to anyone looking for a budget tablet with included S-pen for note taking and creativity on the go. I had this tablet at the end of last year and really enjoyed it but ended up not needing it after all. I was in the market again and found this deal which is even lower than the deal I found last time for $229.

https://www.connection.com/produc...r/41497439

Edit: It appears the price is now $207.02. UPS tracking estimates that it will be delivered on Friday, the 18th and I'll update if anything out of the ordinary pops up (missing S-pen seems to be a concern for some?).

I wish this had a better aspect ratio for note taking.

Older, used, higher end models sell on eBay around this price. At that point you get more ram, better screen (OLED), way better processor.

Samsung tab s5e with LTE, used for $140.

I don't think the s5e supports the s-pen, does it? That's a big deal for me (and perhaps others). I was about to grab one until I realized that.

You can get it from Samsung directly for $245. One reason to get a 2022 s6 lite over an older tablet is software updates. It's a balancing act between cpu power and longevity.

It's a solid tablet with s-pen support. The pen is responsive but I am not an artist so I can't discuss how good it is. It runs minecraft and roblox well enough for the nephews.

Not saying the S5e can't be found roughly around this price, but this specific listing has hella burn-in. Kinda defeats the point of the higher-quality screen, imo.

AT&T (unlocked) very Good - Refurbish with 1 year warranty is $155

NOTE: mostly the cellular versions come with proper GSM Chip, WiFi ones generally don't have GPS chip.

Also battery life is a concern... Tablets with shit battery life are basically worthless.

So I want a sub-$250 10" tablet to be used exclusively as an in-car clone for my wife's S23 for phone and nav.
Battery life is a don't care since I will always have car power.
Was first thinking of A8 but syncing to S23 does not seem as polished as S series tablets (as far as I can determine and correct me if I'm wrong).
It's crucial that the S23 pairing by seamless so I think I want (have) to stay with a Samsung solution.
I was just about to buy an S6 until I see comments here that its screen is TFT and a used S5E with AMOLED may be a better match for an auto application.

Wow! They still exist. I used to shop here, of course using their monthly catalogs in 90s.

You can literally say that about every single thing on SD. Used products will always be more expensive than new (few exceptions on difficult to get items). there are obvious risks with used items and for many people dealing with the headache is not worth it. For example, in a tablet, battery longevity would be a major concern on a used item.

Burn in would be a concern for oled screens on auto applications because you have certain things that remain on the screen a lot. I don't think many cars use oled screens in their cars.

Not a bad price for the S6 Lite (2022), although some may wait and see if prices are better by black Friday. Since Samsung provides software updates for 4 years for their tablets, this should get updates until 2026.
