Do a bigbattery dot com lithium battery swap for $1500 and you'll be able to mow for days! Did it on my folks' golf cart and it can go 30+mi on single charge.

I have one and as great as it can be cutting the actual grass the battery tech in these models is just crap. You can follow all the instructions that are out there to retain battery life and they will still die out after 6 months. New batteries will run about $5/600. If you really want electric, go for something with lithium or similar.

Yup. I wouldn't buy this thing until it's under a grand since I know I'll have to do a lifepo4 swap in a couple years.

A year or so ago people were arguing with me about these lead acid batteries. They claimed you could get a decade out of them 🤣😂 Finally time is catching up with these models and people are finding out the hard way. Charged and stored properly, you'd be lucky to get a handful of years above 50% capacity.

Of course that's not always the same for all. I've had there normal ride on mower for 3 years bow and the batteries have been great. The drive motor died year one and had to be replaced though

Lead acid batteries are a poor choice for something like this because they don't like getting drained too far. If you have under a half acre yard, this should be a decent mower provided you don't let the batteries drain too far and you hook them up to a maintainer over the winter, they'll probably last a good 7 or 8 years

Someone explain.

You can get a led acid battery for a couple hundred or less that is not proprietary. Versus having to be locked in to the "system" so why does everyone hate on this model..

It uses 4 12V lead acid batteries and there's only a one year battery warranty. As opposed to some of the Li+ mowers of the same style that have a 6 to 8 year battery warranty
