It also showed up as Euro for me but switching to US fixed it.
I've since stopped purchasing from Eneba for this reason but I have a large balance that I intend to use soon and I'm worried I will be blocked again. My suspicion is that the Eneba codes are stolen or obtained maliciously (such as scamming people to purchase gift cards).
However I'm annoyed that Apple only gives you any hint of this when you try to buy something with your credit as opposed to either when you redeem the credit or when they discover the code was illicit.
