Purchased these when our first kid was born in 2015 and they're working great still. We liked them so much that when our other kids were born, we purchased more of the knockoff versions and the quality is definitely not the same. These Munchkin brand ones are definitely much better in every way.

Has anyone tried to remove them? I've read some 1 star reviews that said it ruined their cabinets

If the double sided tape is strong enough to secure them it will be strong enough to rip paint or lamination off. For safe-ish removal of about any strong double sided tape you'll want to scrap off everything you can with with a plastic scraper then use something like Goo Gone to remove the residue.

Good for you! Distractions still existed when you raised kids with TVs and newspapers. Not everyone can be a stay at home parent full time, or hire a Nanny. These are good for those cases you didn't mention to baby proof the house.

Pretty obvious you never had to watch toddlers. Their tiny arms and legs are fast, it's hard to stop them from getting into things even when they're immediately in front of you.

Even a 1200 sqft home has a trash and a toilet

What a silly response, there's many new parents with homes larger than 1200 sq ft. Regardless of house size, it takes just a second of looking away for the child to be in a cabinet.

I like the magnetic cabinet ones better than these when possible.

These would be good for drawers or spots you can't use the magnetic ones though.

Have a 6 month-old and she's about to start wrecking my home from the floor to 2' high once she starts crawling. Perfect timing. In for 4!

These are a great product (the munchkin brand is solid from everything we've bought or been gifted) and I've been looking to get more recently. Our kid has been able to open some new areas of the house that we'd like to keep her out of, in particular: sliding closet doors. Just bought 4 packs - thanks OP!
