I'm also slowly converting my socks to all Darn Tough. These deals always get somebody going "hurr-durr, expensive socks" by people who don't understand the Sam Vimes boot theory.
Did you submit the ripped socks for replacement under warranty?
I got 8 pairs done by warranty ezpz at the beginning of 2021 (lasted from Aug 2015). These are the only socks I will wear (1959) so I am happy to support the brand. I cold wash (no softener) the socks flipped inside out and then hang dry.

they are expensive but I've had a few pairs for ~7years that have i don't even know how many miles of running in them and one sock finally just ripped ~3 weeks ago around the ankle pulling it up.

Wear them for under 6 mile runs but longer runs I prefer a bit more padding.

these socks are honestly lackluster.
Care to elaborate? If nothing else, they have a pretty awesome lifetime guarantee

In the process of replacing my entire sock drawer with Light Hiker Micro Crews. Should last a lifetime, and I won't need to match socks anymore (don't even have to pair them)!

lol to be fair.. 99% of people don't know wtf that is.. And it's just a "theory" at best. This doesn't factor in that people lose their socks all the time verses a "boot" lol.

I've got a few pairs. Lol hell I wore one playing on some hot ass sand for volleyball and they're still holding up ha.

Are they the best bang for your buck? Probz not

How much do you pay for the shipping? If it's like $10-$20, it's basically buying a new pair. I wonder if they do in-store warranty. It's would be a deal if they offer it.

I shipped them all in a USPS priority padded flat rate envelope (no weight limit) for like $8. Now it's like $9. I warrantied 8 PAIRS. Your comment about it not being worth it if it is only one pair makes no sense to me since the warranty gets you a credit for the same item on darn tough website for 8 pairs plus free shipping.
