That's not the same type of jack though. This one is a long reach low-profile...the 130 one at HF is a regular low-profile. The HF Daytona long-reach low-profile 3 ton is 199 when it is on sale which makes the jack in this thread a pretty slick deal especially with free shipping.

Not bad but I wish the Professional Grade Aluminum one would go on sale. The -20lbs would make a world of a difference lugging it around the garage.
Pro tip: roll it around, much easier ;-)

I am with you on the weight though. I was contemplating picking up the 3.5 Ton husky but it went OSS. Golden rule of SD, buy now think later..... 😂

Not sure about quality of this off brand. The HF Daytona jacks are proven and not much more than this.

Arcan an off-brand? LOL. If either of these is an off-brand, it's the Harbor Freight one.

Meh. If I was going for lightweight I'd go full aluminum.

The minimum height is 1" higher on the aluminum version btw. Deal breaker for a lot of sports car guys.

Last time I needed a jack I went with a bottle jack. Generally rated for much higher loads at lower prices, smaller footprint. Throw will be less but they're also a fraction of the weight.

True but a bottle jack is a PITA and not as stable. My pickup came with one and I still put a 3 ton floor jack in the tool box because I hated using the bottle jack the 1 time I needed it. If I felt like lifting the extra weight of a 4 ton floor jack I'd have bought another one and put that in there instead but the 3 ton is heavy enough lifting it out of the tool box every time. Another plus for me is that I can use the floor jack when I help friends or random people change their tire because I also hate using scissor jacks that come with cars lol. I have problems.

There are tradeoffs. Bottle jacks will be more versatile as their function is more linear than a scissor jack; e.g. I used that same 10 ton bottle jack to jack up a set of deck stairs that I needed to replace the footers on. Trying to do that with a scissor jack would have been more difficult. I didn't buy the bottle jack to lift stairs but it's nice to have a tool that has more versatility.

Everything has it's place. Just like I have a 20T pneumatic bottle jack that I bought for lifting the boat up if I had to while on the side of the road. Every now and then for S&Gs I'll use it to lift the truck up if I only need to lift from one side on the frame. Unfortunately it's too tall to lift from the rear pumpkin or the front crossmember like I do with the 4T floor jack. Can't let a dually's rear hang and when I rotate I need all 4 corners off the ground. 2 lifts and the truck is up in the air.

Have been watching Arcan, HF Daytona & Husky for Low profile 3 ton jack for a bit now . All do well & are competitive price - and have had recent discounts .
But if you want a NOT 100ish lb jack - Arcan is the brand for hybrid alum/steel or all aluminum weighing in 58lbs .

So if the $40 off would have been on the Costco Arcan hybrid or if HF had a Daytona instead of pittsburgh hybrid I would have jumped on it - but still waiting .

Home Depot still has 3.5 ton jack for $129

The HD one is better in terms of performance and capacity.

But its also larger and heavier.

Both are good and HD offers a better value. But some may want a little smaller/lighter model like the Arcan.

I used to have the all-aluminum from HF but sold it before I moved. I eventually bought the green Hybrid Arcan from a slick deal for $145 and I can't imagine going heavier than that. Even wheeling it around is a chore when you have an 80lb jack.
