Trust me, doesn't matter how you restore apps.. do a factory reset and try again...it will reload unlock app as well.

Error code shows 180 days not satisfied. DEVICE UNLOCK app not installed for this user. --> I understand yoi got 180 days, but 2nd phrase app not installed for this user.. where is that msg comes? Doesn't make sense,as you got ineligible unlock msg on the app itself..

I suggest not do ADB anymore at this point..it getting messier... After unlock you can do unlock bootloader, adb root whatever you want...
I concur that factory reset should fix problem. Still have time to find out the root cause. I want to bring this problem to the FCC about Metro making it very difficult to unlock a Metro phone. Metro's unlock period is very long at 180 days vs 60 for Verizon/ATT and 40 for T Mobile. The unlock protocol requires a lot of unknown apps to operate for a successful unlock.

If enough people complain, then the FCC may force Metro to change the unlock protocol. It's all about the $ in the USA.

I used the same cleaning steps with the Boost Moto 5G stylus 2022. No problem unlocking the phone after reboot with a T Mo SIM and the correct passcode.

must admit not up to speed on all this..
.but if system was modified such a way...
that a factory restore does not ...well do a factory restore..
.then perhaps all bets are off in getting unlock in 180 days

Used the phone for 30 days. Still have the Metro SIM in the phone. No other SIM used in this phone.

1. Metro Moto Stylus 5G 2022 number one. Can't unlock after 184 days. Error code shows 180 days not satisfied. DEVICE UNLOCK app not installed for this user.
2. Metro Moto Stylus 5G 2022 number two. Still under the 180 days windows (not yet eligible for unlock). No DEVICE UNLOCK app.
3. Boost Moto Stylus 5G 2022 number three. Fully unlocked. DEVICE UNLOCK app not installed for this user.

I didn't remove DEVICE UNLOCK. Please post the package name of DEVICE UNLOCK app if you have a Moto Stylus 5G 2022. I use APP INSPECTOR app to retrieve the package name of an app. If I can't get DEVICE UNLOCK back up, then I will reinstall the removed apps using ADB (have that list). This should restore the phone to near factory condition, minus some tweaks with the home screen. The second Metro phone comes from the factory with a newer software update, which may explain the lack of the DEVICE UNLOCK app.

Also removed/disabled most GOOGLE apps, minus the phone of text apps.

Because boost mobile use different mechanism for unlocking.it send by unique code to server so it do NOT hard depend on your phone.... however T-Mobile and MetroPCS leveraging unlock app (mostly latest version)send out a request.....

I was very aggressive with removing the GOOGLE craps. Killing the ATT and Verizon addons should not affect unlock. Metro's goal is to make it very difficult to unlock due to lengthy wait and complicated unlock protocol. Your best chance of unlock is to make several calls/texts over 3 days. Turn off the phone for 185 days, then connect to Wifi to unlock.

Unlike Windows, the user cannot create an image file of the Android operating system without jail break.

Apple is smart enough to keep the unlock protocol away from T Mobile. People are willing to spend a lot more $ with IOS because "it just works". With Android, you'll always get the default complaint about enabling GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES or the app won't work. That may be true, but only with some app like T Mobile. GOOGLE is giving out the OS for free so it can collect your data/activity.

so you want metro to enforce the rule unlock 180 days with "active" service policy?

you are just giving them the chance to fix the 1 month paid loophole.

because buying phone from metro online is like playing lotto.

most cc require the name and address must be matched.

Maybe your FCC complaint will cause them to change it to 90 days, but service for the entire time. $40 phone is now $120.......thanks buddy!

So after the 185 days have passed does it automatically unlock? How do we know it's unlocked? never unlocked a phone before.

I turned on my moto stylus 2022 yesterday after it hit day 182 and a message popped up..."phone is permanently unlocked"...I didn't have to do anything, but there is an option in network settings to unlock if that doesn't happen. I wouldn't remove ANYTHING until the 180 days pass and the phone unlocks.

Is it "DEVICE UNLOCK" app or "NETWORK UNLOCK" app?
