Does anyone happen to know if the keys purchased from Amazon will result in the account management being "hijacked" to Amazon. A couple of years ago, I purchased an Office 365 key from Amazon to top-up the account and now Microsoft sends me over to amazon for account management. Pissed me off and don't want to repeat.

I doubt the conversion nerfing cause prices to drop on XBL gold codes on CDKeys and Eneba. It's more likely resellers are trying to clear stock before the XBL Gold transition to Game Pass Core.

So, does Ultimate change any on 14 Sept 2023? I extended mine up to 29 June 2026 (CD site) but no great deals for one month!

Yes. Stocked up on 3 years of Game Pass Ultimate for $4+ per month using the 90 day Live Gold (cost around $7 each from various sellers at Eneba or CDkeys) conversion to 50 days GPU.

Hopefully it still works.

OK deal if you can stack other discounts, have credit at one of those places, or refuse to buy from anyone but a B&M/Amazon/MS. We've seen 3-month GPU codes semi-regularly for $25 ($8.33/mo), but who knows if we can count on any past indicators with all the recent changes in Xbox/Game Pass.

FWIW, I did two rounds of the 1:1 Gold conversion and was planning on doing a third until they changed the redemption ratio. After looking at all the options, I finally tried Eneba. On 8/10, I bought 18 3-month Gold codes from two sellers and successfully redeemed them to extend my GPU to August of 2026. Total cost: $130.63 for 900 days, so $4.35/mo.

Since then, I've suggested my more casual gamer friends do the same now before Gold goes away on 9/14.

I doubt we'll see these 3 month GPU codes on sale for $25 anymore since Microsoft raised the price to $17 a month. I'm a bit surprised they didn't bother to raise the MSRP on these 1 and 3 month retail codes.

Just to be clear, the "grey market" option people are discussing here does not involve using a VPN to spoof your country of origin. I think people did that to get much, much cheaper Game Pass, but as you observe there are significant drawbacks.

What people mean by the "grey market" option in this thread is buying cheap 3-month Xbox Gold codes from one of the "grey market" sites (like Eneba), which are not region-locked and will convert to 50 days of Game Pass Ultimate.
