My set of AX3000 uses Ethernet Backhaul, so I would assume that these AX5000 supports it too.

I would assume so since there are Ethernet ports on each AP - that would be dumb to not support it in these days of mesh systems.

I honestly wouldn't spend anything above $100 on a set that doesn't have multi-gig wan ports. Routers should last a while - a 2 gbps port might be overkill now but you'll probably want it in two or so years.

Does anyone know the difference between this one and the x60 that's also on sale? I know this one is ax5000 and the x60 is ax3000. I was reading that x60 is 6 stream but couldn't find anything on the ax5000.

Bought one lasts year, after 6 months your main station will die and need replaced by one of the satellite stations. Apparently they want you to move the units around. Their tech support told me it is a known defect which makes it worse!

I have been running the TP-Link AXE5300 from Costco for just about a year now with no issues and great overall performance. Still only has 1Gb wired backhaul, but that's plenty for me. Might be worth waiting for that 6E-capable unit to go on sale again, possibly later this month.

been watching sales on all the tp link mesh systems. it seems that as long as you are utilizing ethernet backhaul any dual band system tri band is pointless unless the firmware allows you to desigante that backhaul channel as an upchannel.

i guess the nice thing about these mesh systems is if you do end up running over gigabit ethernet in your house you could technically buy any other deco wifi sat at a later date with a 2.5g port and swap that in place of your designated existing 1g main router unit. the main draw to having the 2.5g port at least for me would be to have the ability to have multiple hardware devices downloading at high speeds across the network without saturating the bandwith that would otherwise be bottlenecked at the connection between modem/router

yeah exactly but you have to BUY ANOTHER NODE which runs +$100... I would only get a system like this if it were a steal of a price - this price seems common.
