Make sure you look at the growing chart before purchasing, It says "Northern Lawns" but only the very southern part of Michigan is included for instance. You need the Sun and Shade variety if you are really northern.

I highly recommend buying from a seed distributor. These big box store seeds are a complete ripoff because the seeds are coated, so the price per pound of the actual seeds are much more than getting pure seed

For me, it's all in one. I don't need to buy a single additional product. So it's more convenience than anything. These all in one products aren't bought for best price on seed.

Too much crabgrass, so I will apply Tenacity this week or next week.
Is the late Fall(Oct- Nov) or early Spring(Feb-March) a good choice?

I started applying now. Weather will probably start to cool down mid September. But I am wondering if this is good enough for NY also.
