Agree. Solid reel. Caught a 40 pound yellowtail with it. No problem. Still waiting to catch the 150 pound bluefin

On the 50? How big is this reel? Thinking of getting it for jigging heavy knife jigs, flat falls.

Keep in mind this is graphite. I would look at something more solid with a metal body for knife jigging like the Fathom. And you'll want a 2 speed for sure for that big tuna.

Still a good price if this is the reel you're looking for.

Agreed. If you're going after big tuna, I'd suggest something like a Makaira or Talica. Buy once cry once if you're chasing the big ones. Otherwise, it's like bringing a knife to a gunfight. The Squall might be able to handle 60-80lb class tuna at most but I wouldn't push it too much beyond that.
