There is a trick to it. You have to turn them up side down ... Grab both front and back "legs" and kind of force them together. Once you get it it's pretty easy.

coincidentally sat on this chair. I can't figure out to reliably close it. I had to kinda slammed it closed. Quite frustrating. Don't know, mine might be worned

There is a trick to it. You have to turn them up side down ... Grab both front and back "legs" and kind of force them together. Once you get it it's pretty easy.

Yup. This is straight forward expensive, I just buy the $10 one's, they do the same job, and they're lightweight.

Got the chairs previously, but still on a hunt for a beach wagon to throw the chairs in, umbrella, cooler, and anything else.

Turn it upside down and push the two bars that touch the ground together. It should shut.

No, the trick is standing behind the chair, lean the chair forward some holding it by the top of the chair and gently kick/push in the bottom bar in. The chair with fold.
