Per the company's description these chairs swivel. However, in looking through reviews, several mentioned that they do rock as well.

It's hit or miss. Peoples experiences seem to be either overly positive or overly negative depending on their experience assembling furniture and / or your luck of the draw from the production process. Sometimes it all comes together easily enough, while sometimes people complain that nothing lines up properly. But sometimes people are also just inept at following instructions, so it's more user error.

I've purchased a number of things from this brand over the years and my experience has been mostly positive.

They don't rock but swivel. Slight rocking is there because of the swivel feature.

FYI, I Went with the Better Homes and Gardens Hawthorne Park 4-Piece Sofa Conversation Set for 497, regular price is 900, was free shipping for plus members, bought one for Family last season and put it together for them, it is great quality, has a sofa instead of loveseat, and looks much thicker/nicer than this set
