I have been using it since launch. These are not for power user but for someone who just want something to set and forget, these do the job well.

I do not have the connection drop issue, I have 800 mb connection, with main router on 1st floor and a node on 2nd. I can see my PC on 2nd floor reaching 700 mb download on Wifi 6 and 900 on 6E.

The device's transition from one node to another is smooth and signal strength is good all around the house. Hardware can handle 100 or so devices.

You can NOT choose which device goes on which band.

You CAN keep the IoT devices on a separate network, it can create a separate work network. On that network devices cannot ping other devices.

Parental controls are included and time-based block works, site based did not when I checked few months back.

QoS was not supported some months back when I checked. App is not top of the line; it has some issues, but it does work well for basic setup and their support does respond to the questions.

Overall, I am content with this.
I do so much research on mesh systems and never even heard of these lol
And doing a quick research. These are software control no way to control on the hardware. So if they discontinue or server is down you have three big paperweight.

Performance seems pretty poor on these: https://www.tweaktown.com/reviews...index.html [tweaktown.com]
I don't know that site or how it's funded, but a quick look made me a little suspicious. The same guy reviewed the Synology WRX560 around the same time and gave it stellar marks despite it really not being especially fast and being pretty pricy. It's a nice, full-featured router, but it actually lagged BEHIND the Q14 in 2.4GHz throughput in his testing, and has no 6 GHz band. He gave the ZenWiFi ET12 ($800 for a 2-pack and he even said it was pricy) a score of 80% for value. I think he understands who provides them with the most free hardware.

I'm using their Q11's and looking to replace. The low price got me into these... They work, but so many downfalls.

isn't this pretty common? Ive had orbis for like 6 years and I've controlled it all via software. There's only two buttons on the back, if I recall correctly; a power button and sync button. Are you saying that if someone buying this and is comfortable using just software to setup like a guest network or change the password, then this is legit, especially being wifi6e?
no, orbi can be setup without an internet connection. a company like tp-link and their deco line actually requires an internet connection in order to complete setup.

For the price I'm going for it. I'd be happy even if it matches the speed of my 7 year old Orbi as long as the range comes close to what the stated. Thanks OP!!!

Interesting product, curious if this replaces a switch and router or if it is just an add-on to an existing network like stand-alone AP's. I guess I could read product information but I'm too lazy. I think I would probably lean towards stand-alone AP's but I'm also an IT person so that's easy for me to do but probably not the average person.

I don't see it in the settings. Also of note is I read that I could use an ethernet backhaul. Negative on that also.

From an earlier super sale directly from Motorola I had got their Wi-Fi 5 Mesh tri-band router three pack.

Those are decent and have been very stable.
Motorola Mesh router is made by a US small company called Minim.

If you are running an Ethernet back haul then their dual band Q11 is also on sale on Newegg for $50

No he's asking is this supports Bridge or AP mode. That means these would sit behind another router that does the routing and these just act as mesh access points.

Does anyone know if these can be put into bridge or AP mode?
