Not every laptop is for the same type of buyer. This category of laptop is for 'creative' users. A marketing ploy by Nvidia to sell their less than impressive RTX 3050 series gpu as it failed as a repsected, proper gaming Gpu.So the tgp or wattage will be lower.
The laptops are usually lighter as well (under 4.5 lbs) compared to gaming laptops that are 5+lbs and include better screens

I canceled the order from yesterday, since it was too heavy and thick for a high school student, but this one looks really good.

I'm at $869.24 after medical discount (before tax). Can get to $1K with a filler and get $200 back from Amex

I got this and hate it. Two major cons....it heavy and battery life is about 2.5hours. Also, I have had the blue screen of death happen 3 times in about 6 months with very light usage. I'm sure this won't last very long. The thing that attracted me to this laptop was the screen resolution. Screen it very nice.
