I watched couple youtube video reviews, and looks like this sub is much better built and has better internals.

With regards to this deal, there are better subwoofers, but not for the price, and you need to be mindful as to whether or not they move enough air for the room you are in.
If your receiver has the capability, having two subwoofers is generally preferable to having one. You cannot DIY a sub for cheaper than this.

I thought maybe it was due to being connected to my PC so I took it out to my home theater setup and it really fell flat there. The PB-1000 was drastically better for that configuration. Sent the SB-1000 back (also the PB-1000 as it wasn't significantly better than the sub I had for my theater setup… but it was better).
The sub in this deal lists better specs than my Studio Sub 250P so I would expect it to be good enough if you are just looking for some bass where there is none.
