Let me get this straight. Some of you are NBA tall and you just realized you need longer clubs? 😂

What does fitting do? Do they just tell you what clubs are right for your swing?

They take a close look at your swing, your body dimensions, etc to determine the ideal length and flex of your shaft, the correct size grip, the angle of the club face on multiple planes, and the best class of clubs. Off the shelf clubs are a one size fits all, but that's really not the case.

I'm 6'5" and played with standard clubs for years. I finally got measured and needed 1" extensions on my irons, it helped my game significantly. Now I'm looking to see what other insights I can get for a small fee.

Nice! Thanks for posting! Got a fitting for my dad a few years ago and really seemed to help his game. Hoping for the same, though I think my problems run deeper lol.

Bro I feel for you. I'm 6'2" and recently added an 1 to all my clubs. I'm not ready to get fitted just yet, but adding that length helped me tremendously. I can't imagine being 6'5"using standard. Your poor back!

I'm with you, man - I'm 6'-6" and probably 10 years ago ordered 1-1/2" extensions and new grips. I ripped the old ones off, put these extensions and new grips on, and it sure helped me a lot!

Pxg used to be great clubs but now they aren't great but for average golfer being able to customize for cheap is worth it.
What happened to them? Was it just a big fad?

Amazing deal. Definitely get a fitting even if you don't choose pxg. Shafts are the most important and knowing the lie and loft is great if you order elsewhere.

yes quality control is terrible, they have just gone down hill so fast. The average golfer would not be able to tell and they are overrated and overpriced. To get fitted for someone who is 6'5 would not be able to get some Taylor made clubs for the same price for custom.

Any evidence to support this? They started as a high end club company then started offering economical choices as well. I'm not a huge Bob Parsons fan, and the commercials are painful, but I sure do like my gen5 driver, which was reasonably priced when I bought it on sale.

It's not based on height, They measure the tips of your fingers to the ground which determines ideal shaft length. If you're tall and have long arms, you may not need lengthened clubs.
