Let me get this straight. Some of you are NBA tall and you just realized you need longer clubs? 😂

Any evidence to support this? They started as a high end club company then started offering economical choices as well. I'm not a huge Bob Parsons fan, and the commercials are painful, but I sure do like my gen5 driver, which was reasonably priced when I bought it on sale.
Just google quality control issues and cons of it. Lots of people have issues but like I said, an average golfer can't tell and are perfectly fine for most and sure can 1 club like your gen 5 be the perfect fit for your style of swing, yes.

It's not based on height, They measure the tips of your fingers to the ground which determines ideal shaft length. If you're tall and have long arms, you may not need lengthened clubs.
I get what you're saying but I'm general, people that tall need longer clubs way more often than not.

They still make great clubs. Not sure what Luniz is talking about. It all boils down to your swing and what shaft weight and flex best suits your swing. That is why the fitting is a great idea.

just google "insert your favorite golf club manufacturer" and you'll see tons of QC issues with all of them.

Do I have to buy their clubs after fitting or do they just give you the specs you need?

I have to agree with the QC issues. I bought a putter from them with a black shaft. It kept peeling off and they guaranteed that it would not happen again and it was a bad batch of shafts. It happened again and would not honor the black shaft. Never buying PXG again. Plus there items get heavily discounted. Fitting are usually free at PXG. This is a just way to trick you to come and get fitted.

They take a close look at your swing, your body dimensions, etc to determine the ideal length and flex of your shaft, the correct size grip, the angle of the club face on multiple planes, and the best class of clubs. Off the shelf clubs are a one size fits all, but that's really not the case.

I'm 6'5" and played with standard clubs for years. I finally got measured and needed 1" extensions on my irons, it helped my game significantly. Now I'm looking to see what other insights I can get for a small fee.
Is it an upset long session? Can take the specs/report with you and buy something else?

You either have to own PXG clubs or buy a set there. I called and asked, they don't do anything outside PXG

I've been a Taylormade or Ping iron guy for years. A couple of months ago I hit the current titleist, ping, TM, PXG, and a couple other brand irons. I def wasn't leaning towards PXG as a brand until I hit them back to back with other irons. I initially hit the 0211's irons that day and then went and got fitted at PXG's place in orlando and hit all their irons. At the end of the day I still hit the 0211's the best by far and they also happened to be their cheapest model so it worked out pretty well for me. I think they have a great look and feel. I'm a 14 handicap so I'm pretty average. I just got my new set last month and I haven't noticed any QC issues with my set.

I'm pretty brand agnostic and just use what I think feels best to me. Ping driver/3 wood, Cobra Hybrid, PXG irons, Mizuno wedges (switched from Vokey earlier this year), and Scotty Cameron putter, although I have an Odyssey Jailbird 380 putter on the way I may switch to depending on how it performs.

Also, the Military discount makes them very affordable if you happen to qualify.

I highly recommend fittings if you're at all serious about improving your game or intend to spend a nice chunk on a new set. However, I will say that PXG fittings can be a bit of a disaster. I did two fittings with them, and both times, they completely botched the specs. I ended up going to an alternative fitter that is brand agnostic and found that Taylormade Stealths were far superior (and actually slightly cheaper) than PXG for my swing.

Also, be careful with their return policy. They do a lot of bait and switch from month to month, and they had actually switched their policy between the time I ordered my second set and when I actually got them. Again, the specs were all wrong, and they tried to deny a return of the clubs. I had to escalate quite a bit until I found someone that would approve it despite me buying them when they still had a 60 day return period.

I still rock my PXG driver, 3 wood, and putter. The putter is beyond anything I've ever used and highly commend it! Putting has greatly improved with it!

F—k this. I'm not buying these clubs. A fitting shouldn't be dependent on their stuff. A fitting should be for when you decide what clubs you want to purchase. If I'm spending $75 I'm getting the clubs I want. Plus there's always free fittings by various manufacturers at golf courses throughout the year. Check it out. All manufacturers have reps in every state that have people do these tent events.

Wait, so you have to buy their clubs? Who is going to force me?
