Let me get this straight. Some of you are NBA tall and you just realized you need longer clubs? 😂

I'm sure they will steer you towards their clubs, but most of that data is brand agnostic, and they can't force you to buy anything. I see it like going to the eye doctor to get your prescription and then ordering $20 frames from zenni instead of paying 400 there.

Anyone have experience with their fittings?

I have one pxg club and like it well enough, and wouldn't be opposed to paying to have it adjusted if the fitting suggests it. Other than that, I would probably want to take my specs and hold on to them. Nothing against getting more Pxg clubs, I just don't really need anything right now. Wondering how they would feel about that.

I'd always see this logo, but I never knew what it was affiliated with.

This fitting deal has been around for a bit. I did my fitting back in June. Great experience. Ended up getting woods, irons, and wedges. Fitting fee gets applied to purchase. Obviously the great price on the fitting is to get you to buy PXG clubs. For the price, I wouldn't expect them to hand you your specs to go buy something else. Brand agnostic fitting will cost you 10x. That said, nothing stopping you from paying attention to what works for you. Hard to beat hitting some balls and trying some new clubs for ~$30.

To add to this...You can have them provide the spec sheet afterwards, so that you can buy clubs from somewhere else. You can also request a link to your trackman data afterwards for review

Don't buy into the hate. Golf is a very particular sport with a lot of brand bias. I gave it a shot on a previous year PXG driver on sale. Love it and my more dedicated golf buddies tried it and liked it. For that price, worth a shot. Not out much if you don't like. And strong "heroes" discount program too. (No brand loyalty here. PXG driver. Taylor Made fairway woods. Mizuno irons. Callaway wedges. Odyssey putter. Jones bag. Adidas shoes.)

I'm with you, man - I'm 6'-6" and probably 10 years ago ordered 1-1/2" extensions and new grips. I ripped the old ones off, put these extensions and new grips on, and it sure helped me a lot!
The club head angles should really be adjusted when lengthening clubs.

Highly recommend doing this. Was painless and kinda fun process.

I loved every club I got in the full bag deal except the driver. Irons hit like butter and very distance tailored - I'm not the greatest golfer but I can consistently knock my 7 iron 200 yards with these irons.

Sure but what is the loft compared to your old clubs? Many clubs now are aggressively lofted compared to about 7-10 years ago because the technology improvements were yielding much added distance so they all turned new 7 irons into what a 6 iron was. My burner plus 6/7 iron was 28*/32* and my Sim Max is 25/28.5*

No, but you lose $75 bucks. Most places who offer fittings at a cost will roll the money spent on the fitting into the price of the gear. This is why researching specific stuff you want to buy is key. For me, Mizuno. I went to a free fitting at a golf course. They set me up with the data. Sure, they want you to buy the clubs right away but will never force you to do it.

Signed up for a 2hr session. $32.

I'm going to tell them upfront I just want the fitting and not going to buy anything. We'll see how it goes.

My first set was MIzuno TP-9 and its 7 iron had 37* loft.
One of the PXG 7 iron has 28* loft. That's stronger than what my 5 iron used to be. lol
