FYI the $20 tier does NOT include the remaining important DLCs such as After Dark, Green Cities, Parklife, Industries, Campus, and Hotels. Although each one of them is one sale right now for $5-8 each making it $20 + $35 total for the complete game with important DLCs (not including CC Packs , radios, minor stuff already in the bundle)

Also very important note: you NEED 32GB DDR4/5 RAM if you want any chance of running this game with more than 5 DLCs even with Loading Screen mod because of how pathetically threaded this game is on a 2015 Unity engine. With 16GB DDR4 and only 10 mods and zero assets alongside the DLC have fun with MINIMUM 20-30 minute load times if the game doesn't CTD after every minor update that guarantees mods are broken each time.
tf you talking about? That's straight up misinformation. I'm due for an upgrade but I've been running this fine on a 10 year old machine with 16gb DDR3 machine, and I have all DLCs up until airports with mods. It's not the snappiest but definitely playable, about 2 minutes to load my 250k city. This game is 8 years old, you're suggestion is ridiculous. Recommended specs for this game are not even close to demanding what you're suggesting.
Lol I just talked myself out of this game earlier today when I noticed the steam version and dlcs were on sale. And I probably should do the same for this bundle. The second game releases in a little over a month.

Ran this on an i7 4770k / 16 GB DDR4 for years with all of the DLCs enabled as well as a few mods and never had this issue. Not sure what this person or others are talking about, game usually loads in a couple of minutes for me no problem. Are y'all using HDDs and not SSDs?

Not entirely false, If you have the loading screen mod, it will tell you how many gb loading to ram. In case that exceeds pc ram, it will affect game performance.
I wonder if the person is running on a hard drive instead of a solid state drive. That can really make a difference with load times and also overall performance.

Does anyone know what happens if you already have the base game? Can I just redeem the DLCs and give the base game to a friend if it's included?

Yes. You will get codes to redeem each line item on Steam. Anything you don't use you can give to them or really anyone.

At least it makes use of extra RAM. Some games don't even get that

same here, no problems with it running on a Sandy Bridge i5 with 16GB of ram with a SSD.

If you are someone using a spinning mechanical hard drive then---sure I can see this taking 20 minutes since it takes about 2-3 with the SSD.

Maybe not the best FPS but its a city sim...you don't need it.
your i5 doesn't even have HYPERTHREADING so you are bottlenecking your RAM

Doesn't this game have lots of user mods and been available for free at times? Not sure why it's a great deal at $10 for another old game with a few dlc. Did they ever fix traffic jams after like 1 hour of play?
