They should rebrand themselves as KidKrap. That's what all their products are is Crap.
This is not a threadcrap but a warning to all Sders. The quality of their items (I've owned 3 large ones) is below what one consider to be half decent. Avoid like the plague!

which better brands that produce similar items for better price?
I never purchased the stool but have always been happy with KidKraft products, especially at sale prices. Melissa & Doug would probably be the closest brand price-wise. Childcraft, ECR4Kids, Angeles, Hape, & PBK might be better quality but usually cost more.

I have a kitchen set that been great for 2 years.
Not sure what you expect at this price range. These aren't heirloom quality.
after reading reviews and seeing that it's not standing flush with cabinets/walls, which allows kids to fall - hard pass. Wouldn't use it, if it were free. Safety first.

I have 4 of these in my house. Never been concerned about structural integrity, but the paint has chipped on all of them and they don't look great after a year or two (3 kids use them around the house).
Agreed on the gap between the wall - we have had kids slip and fall.

You're probably thinking these are products aimed at kids when in actuality they are products manufactured by kids
KidKraft isn't terrible. You have to assemble the stuff yourself, but it's fairly sturdy, much better than Ikea. The quality control isn't the best, so there will be blemishes. Many of these discounted items are return items. I suspect most people, myself included, didn't realize they don't come pre-assembled.
