Great catch on this smoking deal OP!

This is not a dig on anyone who has replied or will reply, if you're asking if these tires would work for you and your particular bike, the answer is probably NO.

These are DHF/DHR/Disector/Assegai, which are Maxxis most popular AGGRESSIVE tires. They won't roll that well on concrete, they are likely all the EXO casing which makes them a solid mid-range trail tire and pretty much every mid to high end bike comes with a pairing of these.

If you're learning, check out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2j2bjDTbIU

If you care I run on my rigs Front/Rear:
Trail - DHF/Dissector Both in EXO+
Enduro - Assegai/Dissector both in EXO+

SoCal, dry with loose over hardpack.
Stack "SAVE20" with "8BO782558ALUMVZQ" to get 20% off one and 15% off the other

Can you please expand on this a little? Compared to prices on REI these prices (with coupon) seemed pretty good?
I've already wasted too much time researching prices, so please post whatever specific items that you price compared and i'll take a look. Remember that there are many options within each size of each model of tire, so you have to compare specific tire to specific tire, and just comparing an Ikon to an Ikon won't do it.

Good info. Never considered running different tire front/rear. May try that.

In any case no enduro/dh for me, just XC/trail, same loose over hard and Icons that came on the bike just don't have enough grip. Was thinking Dissector per Monkeynaut suggestion..

Talon should have no issue with going 2.2 to 2.4 either so more grip there as well.
Take a look at the Ardent and Recon combo.

NO SAVE20 and NO additional code on the IKON. That apparently only works on OEM tires. Why the OP posted those type of tyres within his SALE link is a good question. and the paltry marked "discount" is on inflated MSRPs... prices cheaper on Amazon. 5star deal??? Do people actualy fall for this garbage without checking prices elsewhere?
$75 tire for $35, yeah this deal sucks!

Really? Which tire? One tire or two?
And wouldn't 20% off $75 be $60 for one, and not even that if you got two totalling $75
How about speling it out, or better yet how about a screenshot of your purchase?
This ~20% off, that only lasted maybe an hour, only ever deserved maybe 2stars.
Someone should update the original post to note the SAVE20 is dead, and that the 15% off code works, but only on white box OEM tires, and peeps seeing this should downvote to bring the stars in-line with reality.
"Slickdeals" - yea right - this place has mostly become a huge waste of time!
Holy moly. Maybe go waste your time somewhere else then. Nobody's forcing you to come here and shit all over this thread.

This was hands down a solid deal on good tires for aggressive riding. Forget all the percentages, anyone who's ever used 130+ mm travel knows $36 is a great price for maxxis tires.

I counted "OEM" nine times in the original post. This is truly slick as used minion takeoffs still go for $40+.

The deal was posted at 8:14 am. I bought 29" front and rear Minions for $74.25 shipped at 1:00 pm.
You can't get anywhere close to that deal. $122.00 is what I paid 2 weeks ago for the same pair.
Go away.

looks like that tire was already on clearance and is no longer available, so had nothing to do with the 20% off you got for very limited specific tire with a very limited stock... :Maxis Tires $36 as a title is
entirely misleading. Sorry.

Here's a pic of my order with prices paid (with free shipping). I got just what the OP posted. (see picture)
You can't come even close to these prices anywhere else.
I don't know what your point is posting here. I guess maybe you're just butt hurt because you missed out on the deal? Or maybe you have nothing better to do than post ignorant rants online?
It doesn't matter. Just go away.

Well I bought the retail version of the DHR II several months back $75 each. These are OEM so they have white letters and yes they were on clearance for $45 but who doesn't like an even better deal. 20% and 15% (one per item) with free shipping. Two DHR II for $36 and $38 so yeah great deal for me.

Maxxis casings are surprisingly similar from one size to another. It's usually a bigger difference in knobs than in carcass. It might still fit if they can't or won't swap it out.
