This brand usually has a lot of promos around, not sure if this is the lowest I've seen. I wouldn't compare it to the Amazon price. keep in mind they're more perishable than other types. I think they marked them down when it's getting near end of shelflife, I've gotten some spoiled sticks mixed in. They're kind of watery

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank Thatoneguythere

70 calories for 6g protein, you're still getting a lot of filler. I would suggest getting some beef biltong for a healthier snack. If you have an Aldi's, Simm's is delicious and is 90 calories for 16g protein. No preservatives either. I do not recomend Stryve if you see that brand, it is very tough and hard to eat.

Is it as cheap as this deal is per ounce? No, I believe it's around $1.75 per ounce, but it is a higher quality and more nutritious product.

Man I loved Stryve when they had it at Costco. Was definitely a great price for the quality and macros.

I personally found Stryve to be extremely tough, and powdery. I did not like the texture, but did like the quality as you could tell it was using lean, good cuts of beef, and the protein content and ingredients list were both outstanding.

It is unfortunate that Costco doesn't offer a solid replacement at this time, all of their current jerky products are either filled with preservatives, and/or packed with sugar.

You're insinuating that the "filler" content on the caloric breakdown is of saturated and monounsaturated fats. Those aren't "filler" ingredients. These fats (particularly monounsaturated) are laden with omega-3s, which promote cognitive function, athletic performance, joint function, longevity, overall health, and body composition compared to other calories, like carbs or excess protein, that lead to glucose production, insulin secretion, inflammation, excess calories stored as fat around the belly, etc.

Are there more calories and more protein in what you suggested? Yes. Is this grass-fed beef product inferior or superior to what you posted? That depends on how you are simplifying calories/ingredients. But anyway, all beef sticks are pretty damn good considering the alternatives out there.

Hope this is food for thought.
