The emptying dock is sold separately. I wonder how it works if you just purchase the unit without the emptying dock.

I emailed their support and apparently the Pure Dock is compatible with this model but was told you can't buy the dock separately. The page for the dock no longer loads either

I just got the yeedi cube and I can't imagine not having the dock... it washes the mop pad, creates a whole bunch of very gross water and it empties the vac cartridge into a little bag like a normal vac for easy disposal. The yeedi is slightly stupid and has been frustrating but I'd definitely stick to robots that dock/self-clean.

I'd love to have something like the S8 Pro but that's around $1500 vs the $600 I paid.

Agreed have a dreame l10 and without the dock it would be a PITA. With the dock it is amazing.

I have the Shark one and it's awesome. Cheaper than this since I had a 30% off code. Ordered directly from Shark so I have the good 5 year warranty.

The S7 has much better mopping. The S7 has an ultrasonic mop that scrubs the floors and lifts up when it detects carpet, whereas the Q7 has a fixed mop that just drags across the floor. With the Q7, if you have any carpet in your home, you'll also have to mark the carpeted areas as no-go zones and have it vacuum them separately after you empty the water tank. Otherwise, it will drag a dirty, wet mop across your carpet. If you want better floor cleaning and/or have any carpeted areas in the house, the S7 is the much better option.
