real pizza is 4 times this price
im working in dominos rn, dont order please, make my life easier
Dominos has always been hit or miss depending on location and who is making the pizza. The one by my house is only good when 1 certain guy named Jacob makes it.. Every other time it tastes like crap. Could probably say the same thing about any other pizza chain or any restaurant chain in general. Everythings gone downhill the past few years for the most part.

The 7.99 carry out deals are usually better, unless you want a loaded pie.

Any idea how long the email delivery takes for the discounted gift cards? Would one be able to order the gift card and have it in time to get dinner pretty soon?
On Raise it's within minutes.

That's my thinking as well and I rarely think these 50% off deals are worth it in comparison.

For example if I want more than 1 topping I pick 1 for each half of the pie and it's the same 7.99 price. $1 extra for the pan version then a $1 dipping sauce to make it 9.99 and have it qualify for the $10 minimum for points rewards though I think that $10 threshold isn't required anymore but I don't order enough to know for sure.

Just in time. Kids birthday party is next weekend and was hoping they would go back to 50% off before. Used costco gift cards too to load up

Not sure where your from..but local shops near me only couple bucks more, and real ingredients...
My local shops come out to $20 for a large pizza carry out. My same large pizza 3 years ago was $15 which I thought was a bit expensive then.

Using these "deals" I can get a similar sized pizza/ingredients from a chain for $12. The problem is that the chains mostly all taste like shit but at least its convenient.

You can absolutely make great pizza at home and I mostly do it now but sometimes you want something now rather than in a few hours to get the oven/dough ready. Most of my pizza supplies I buy from restaurant depot so it irritates me to see prices so inflated pre=>post covid.

Don't even get me started on Chinese takeout.

Last time I got pizza from Dominos the box was heavier then the pizza…Support your local mom and pop shops, get some real pizza…
Local Mom and Pop Shops are $25-40 now. Domino's 100% has its place. Mom and Pops get the business via 3rd party delivery codes only or for the smart ones like one of my locals, email loyalty codes that bring their pizzas (which of course are way better, and heavier) down to something more reasonable.

Chinese is easy at home as well, but you'll never get that wok hei. All of Kenji's [few] Chinese Takeout recipes are good.

Its not as easy as pizza is. You need flour/yeast/salt and a can of tomatoes to make a fantastic pizza. You need a LOT more specialized (cheap) fresh stuff to make decent Chinese takeout clone. A lot of those ingredients end up expiring in my fridge or pantry because I just don't use them often enough in a western kitchen.

Of course not. But ginger, garlic, oyster sauce, light soy, dark soy and hoisin can make a lot of dishes.

No idea what people are complaining about. Even bad pizza is good pizza in my book.
