I have the g-sync version. (AW3423DW, non-F) I do not have any blurry text. Color fringing of text is supposedly an issue with both DWF and DW models, but I personally notice no issue with text on my DW. There is an app called Cleartype native to windows that may assist with this, source: anecdotes on reddit.

I did the DW over the DWF because of the G-Sync Ultimate module. The DWF does have better input latency than the DW on paper, but I havent used a DWF so I can't comment on how it feels vs the DW. The DW latency feels good to me, and I was coming from a Dell S2721DGF which I think has similar latency to the DWF.

At $800 this is pretty awesome, though.

EDIT: There is a major difference in how you update the firmware of the monitors:

DWF firmware can be updated via a software download from the manufacturers website

DW supposedly needs to be physically shipped back to Dell to update it there, and wait for its return. Purchased my DW in Sept. 2023, Firmware version I have is M0B204.
Go find a cheaper curved wide-screen *OLED* 144hz 2K monitor then
I had the 42" LG C2 on my desk for 3 months before buying this one. Reasonable minds can certainly differ, but I far prefer the Dell for desktop use, on a massive desk, both for productivity and gaming. As compared to the C2, the Dell is free from auto-dimming, has no input lag, and frankly, I also strongly prefer watching streaming media content on the aw3423dw because it doesn't highlight compression artifacts/noise the way the C2 does. HDR is also much more impressive on the qd-oled dell. The C2 will give you a pristine 4k image with the right content (and a lot of fiddling with settings), but personally, I've learned my lesson about trying to use a TV as a monitor.

How is this monitor with reading text. Is it blurry?
Also is it better to wait for the G-Sync model to go on sale over this one? (any pros or cons)

This monitor is stunning to look at and great for content consumption. If u do actual work tho, then the text may be an issue. Also, some games still don't play nice w/ ultrawides 🙄 Waiting for the 32" 4K models coming next year

allegedly newer model of the gsync models have the latest firmware

but you will still need to ship it out if you don't have the latest or want to upgrade in the future
and the integrated fan is louder in the gsync version

hence to why the freesync version is considered by many to be much better

You don't even know what 2k means. Why comment trying to sound smart if you know nothing about monitors?

Hate to ask but curious, is there a way around this for non - amex users? Meaning, can I buy a large Amex gift card and qualify for deal? I'm guessing no...

I use it for work and gaming. Honestly the text is fine, I'm not sure why people say otherwise.
