I didn't get approved instantly, says "needs further processing". My credit score is 820+.
same here. will it affect the gift card if not approved instantly aka a few days or weeks later? seeing card loaded when I logged into my Chase account, but not seeing it in Amazon, aka says still processing pending approval by card issuer (aka Chase)

How can I find out the latest status of my application? I don't see anything in my Chase account portal and neither I received any email or text for my application.
Being a Chase issued card this one falls into the 5/24 rule of Chase. I actually closed my Amazon Prime card after ten years of usage just because Amazon trying to compete with Costco on Prime subscription pricing and this card limiting the flexibility of my Chase cards portfolio...If you have Costco this card is not worth it. If you have or plan to have Chase Preferred or Reserved - also not worth it. If you travel - maintain Chase Preferred or Reserve, and/or United , Southwest cards. All of them are Chase. Do not bother with Amazon.
Big ticket items - do not buy from Amazon, you don't want nightmare problems with returns/shipping/support etc. on electronics or sth expensive when it is priced the same everywhere else anyway. Small price items on Amazon - extra 5% cashback is not a deal breaker, and it applies to sold by Amazon items only anyway.

After 3-4 business days mine was finally approved & GC appeared on my Amazon acc. I did call Chase CS (number at the back of your Chase card) & they can confirm if yours was approved/rejected. Just give them the good ol phone call 📞

I think you have to wait at least 24 months before you can get a new bonus on a card you used to have. It's 48 months for the Chase Sapphire cards, but I don't think it's as long for other cards they have.
I have done this with citi cards for years. Take the one free year, gather bonus stuff. Cancel and a year later do it all again. Last time I got 50,000 air miles from citi, and 60,000 airmiles from Barklays in the same month. That is a first class round trip (almost)! They make their money off of my purchases and I make out well too!
Weird, I've been getting about every 6 months to 1 year
Don't be so happy. Getting a lousy $200 for a credit pull is not worth it. I only apply for credit cards with a minimum of $800 in bonuses for it to be worth while.
