LG OLED naming conventions are one of the easiest to understand.
It's a circle-jerk. Each year, in the early summer, LG will retail their latest and greatest TV with incremental changes. The big deal hunters will then go backwards and hope and pray they can get last year's model for cheap. They'll THEN see these threads and basically encourage everyone to do the same. It breeds more people waiting until April-June for the "best" deals. All the while, folks miss out on enjoyment of these TVs, as an OLED is truly beautiful.

This model will likely drop to about $1500 come May. If you aren't in the market, wait until May. That's the perfect sweet spot. For example, I got a 77'' G2 this year for $2600. I dare someone to act like that wasn't a slick deal. Just last month my local Sams had a 83'' C2 for $2000 in box. If I didn't get the G2, I'd gotten that. Both were VERY limited deals, to note.

I'm now though a person who hops into these threads just to alert folks that man...if you don't want the stress of hoping for a TV deal, take the "normal" sale and keep it moving.
Until it craps out like a year in. I went with lg after my samsung died and couldn't be happier. Warranty is absolutely essential with samsung as it's a very common thing for them nowadays

Seems well debated in the other thread. Dolby Vision and HDR on LG TVs vs. HDR only on Samsung.

Basically, the higher in the alphabet, the better the features. The G series used to be glass displays, rather than... whatever material they use on the lower end displays. The displays are still amazing, though, no matter what series you choose.

Got this B3 on last deal. Been enjoying it. Bright enough for me in my living room during day time. OLED's deep contrast is amazing.

I got this hooked to a receiver with four hdmi 2.1 ports so two hdmi 2.1 ports on the TV is a non issue.

Sorry for the newbie questions:

- what's the regular price for this at Costco?
- 77 B3 is also $1999 at lg.com, but with different letter suffixes. Costco is OLED77B3AUA, LG is OLED77B3PUA. Are these both the same product with a slightly different model number for big box warehouse stores to prevent price matching?

No contest...S90C all the way
I'm sure that Samsung is world's better even though it uses an LG screen. 🙄
