Seems like a good price but there are a lot of 1 star reviews from owners. I wonder if it's operator error or if this printer has a lot of issues.

I got it, it works fine. The annoying thing is, I have to go touch a button on it to wake it up or it won't print.

I don't doubt it works out of the box. I see quite a few people saying it had problems prematurely after using it for a period of time.

How long does the $40 gift card take to generate?
I messed up , just ordered a monitor using the AMEX offer but I should have bought this first and then use the $40 towards the monitor

I'm gonna try Epson. Tired of Canon having issues with header, light printing, and their egregiously priced ink cartridges. This one may have the "tanks" but they still use the cartridges? WTH! Screw that. I'm done with Canon.

Where does it say you need to replace cartridges? You only need to refill ink the tank which is same price as for epson printers.
