I am trying to decide between EGO LM2156SP versus the below two models, would appreciate advice!

EGO LM2135SP with 7.5A battery for $636 https://www.acmetools.com/ego-sel...11504.html

GREENWORKS 80V 21inch with 4A battery for $499. Costco used to have this model + 2x4A battery for $629but no longer available.

I bought an ego mower when I bought my house a couple years back. I need a 7.5 and 5ah battery to get the whole thing done without charging more. I bought a reconditioned blower with the 5ah from acme when it was on sale for $160. Since then I've bought a trimmer and edger. I love my ego tools and realize why people love them as well. Only time I had problems with my mower is when my yard was soaked and my blade was fully dull. Otherwise an amazing experience

Did reconditioned tool look and work as new? ACME also has reconditioned EGO mower for much cheaper but it only comes with 1 yr warranty (instead of 5 yr for new).

In my case it did. Had a battery shipped less than a year old and it all works as it should.

I bought the EGO LM2135SP with 7.5A battery on an Ace Hardware price mistake for $500. It's been great and is definitely a high quality mower. It's a little overkill for my needs (1/4 acre), but the self propelled function is nice for my steep slope portion. Think I can mow my lawn plus both neighbors and still have battery left over. Only bad thing I can say is the wheels are plastic and don't grip well on wet grass. Still makes it up the slope, but spins out a little on startup. I'm in the ego ecosystem and have the 650cfm blower too. Also great. But I'm coming from a plug in blower and mower.

Thanks for the datapoint! LM2135SP at $500 is no-brainer.

Now LM2135SP is $635, only $85 less than LM2156SP. I can see the difference is the battery 7.5A vs 10A, and CUTTING TORQUE, 7ft/lb vs. 8.3 ft/lb. Not sure how this translate to real life performance.

With $85 more, should I go with LM2156SP with 10A battery?

Reconditioned sounds like a decent choice!

I have this mower with the 10Ah battery. It's a great mower and this is a good price. I'm able to cut a nearly 4800 sq ft lawn using less than half a full battery. Height adjustment is easy to use, as is the self-propelled feature. I've never had a problem with power as it's able to cut through thick grass.

I'm looking for their next coupon deal that includes ego reconditioned for more tools and batteries!

The current ACME 15%off coupon actually applies to reconditioned tools too! But the high end mowers LM2150SP sold out already

Thanks for the datapoint! If $721 is a good price, I want to jump on this.

Not sure if thanksgiving deal will go lower. Just in case it goes lower, ACME only allows return within 30 days with 15% restocking fee (not as friendly as Lowe's but ACME has the best price now).

I snagged the 2156SP for $699 the day we closed on our house, and got an extra $100 off to open a Lowe's credit account. That was an insane deal at the time, but this is about what I've seen lately for this.

As far as the mower, I absolutely love it, and it's worth the little bit extra for the 10 ah battery. I was looking at Ego vs Greenworks, and decided to go with Ego since everything on their platform is the same (56V), and I'm very happy with my purchases. The Select Cut is nice to be able to tweak the cutting to your needs. The only time I've had an issue was in my backyard when it went a month without being cut, and the grass was still fairly damp.

Thanks for sharing! Very helpful! It sounds like for $85 more it is definitely worth going with LM2156SP with 10Ah battery.

You mentioned that you only had issue with cutting damp grass 1 month apart. How often do you have to cut to avoid having issues?

Thanks!

I usually cut once a week, but I've gone 2 weeks before. For some reason the grass in my backyard grows fast and thick. My front yard I could probably go 2-3 weeks. It's only in extra thick spots that it's been an issue, and I think only twice. Definitely not a mower issue though, a gas mower would have had the same issue.

Does the best buy version have 2 battery slots?
