Great deal! I just bought a used one on eBay a month ago used for $305+$13 shipping. They go for more than this on eBay used most of the time (I missed out on 5 other auctions).

Agreed that it's a good deal, but the TS3 goes on sale for $200, the TS4 doesn't feel like it's over $100 better

It depends what you need. I have a TS3 Plus and it's been fantastic for many years, but it won't do 4K at 144hz, only 4K 97hz (yes, that's the max). DisplayPort 1.4 on the TS4 solves this issue. If that's not a concern, I don't really see any major selling points for the 4 over the 3 Plus, unless you really need 2.5Gbit or the different ports layout.

If my TS3 was acting even the slightest bit flakey, I could probably justify this just for the 2.5GigE port.

But a) my TS3 is still rock solid and b) upgrading to 2.5GigE would inevitably lead to all sorts of other upgrades to support it…

1Gig will have to suffice I suppose.

Just a note to be cautious if looking on eBay. I just took a quick look and noticed listings advertising "Thunderbolt 4" were actually for docks only supporting Thunderbolt 3. For example "ThinkPad USB-C Dock Gen 2" is NOT Thunderbolt 4 capable. Lenovo's Thunderbolt 4 dock is officially titled "ThinkPad Universal Thunderbolt 4 Dock" and retails for $339.99.

I'd pay $320 to not have to use a Lenovo, so this price makes sense.

No. The official specs only list a maximum of 8k at 60hz. Scroll about half-way down CalDigit's official page to see the table of supported resolutions and refresh rates. https://www.caldigit.com/thunderbolt-station-4/
