Actually YMMV deals are not a good baseline at all. They're rare and hard to replicate for most people. That's why they are called YMMV.
FYI if your try to do computer office work on it, the text will be a bit fuzzy because of the size and the WBGR subpixel arrangement instead of the traditional RGB. I do 80%+ office work and returned the 42" LG C2 because of the fuzzy text.

Phenomenal for gaming & movies.
I have never seen a Slickdeals thread about clearanced C2 42's at either Best Buy or Costco. point being, a one-off clearance at your local store isn't a good baseline for what people should expect to pay for the 42" OLEDs.

Hello, SDers, I was browsing Amazon for its Prime deal, yet found this, shows 24% off the listed price.
CCC website shows the ever lowest was $966, so good luck.

What was the lowest for C2 65" for Black Friday 2022?
I don't know if the 65" ever went on sale last year. I found multiple articles stating the 42, 48 and 55" all went on sale.

Off topic a bit, sorry. Looking for 77" LG Oled TV. Which one is better (price/performance), B3 or C2?
Thanks.
C2, if you get one on a superb deal. Otherwise C3 is marginally expensive at some places (discussion banned on SD). If you hypothetically distribute the cost difference of 300$ across your months of ownership (likely 5 years), you are spending 5$ a month for much better viewing experience.

This is just $100 more than the closeout price for the 42C2 back in July (which I ended up grabbing). My guess is we will not see $800 until late next spring at the earliest. IMO a solid buy if you're looking for damn near end-game 42" TV specifically

A nearly 25% discount before November? This is a slamming deal

The c2 went on clearance multiple times in stores in BB, Sams and Costco for $500-$700.
Black Fridays do not offer real deals any more. Simply wait till the next model is announced.
It never went for $500, not the 42" anyway

Cheapest was like $700 for a refurb on Woot or $600~ for open box Best Buy in satisfactory condition

Cheapest I can remember it being new was $800. Again, for the C2 42

Never? I personally saw the clearance In-store price for it in Costco for 580 and in BB for 640. New. Never lol
